Single-stage Paint Correction | Audi RS5
This stunning 2019 Audi RS5 came to us with one major issue — years of automatic drive-through car washes had taken a serious toll on its black paintwork. Despite being a beautiful high-performance vehicle, the paint was covered in heavy swirl marks and fine scratches, leaving the finish looking hazy and lacking the depth and clarity that black paint is known for. Our Single-Stage Paint Correction was the perfect solution to significantly reduce these imperfections and bring back the deep, mirror-like gloss this RS5 deserved.
The Process
Exterior Cleaning & Decontamination
We began with a thorough exterior pre-wash and careful contact wash, removing accumulated dirt, road grime and surface contamination.
The wheels, tyres, door jambs and exterior details were thoroughly cleaned before the paintwork underwent chemical and clay decontamination to remove embedded contaminants.
With the surface properly prepared, we were able to assess the condition of the paintwork and begin the correction process.
Single-Stage Paint Correction
The black paintwork was heavily affected by swirl marks caused by repeated automatic car washing, with fine scratches visible across almost every panel.
We carried out a single-stage machine paint correction, carefully polishing each panel to significantly reduce the swirl marks, improve paint clarity and restore the depth of the black finish.
Particular attention was given to achieving a consistent finish across the vehicle, reducing the hazy appearance and allowing the paintwork to reflect light clearly once again.
Paint Protection & Finishing
Following the correction, the paintwork was finished with a ceramic sealant to enhance gloss and provide added protection.
The exterior glass, wheels, tyres and finishing details received their final attention, bringing the entire vehicle's presentation together.

The Results
The transformation was exceptional.
What was once heavily swirled, hazy black paintwork is now deep, glossy and incredibly reflective, with the majority of visible swirl marks significantly reduced.
The difference in paint clarity is immediately noticeable. The black finish now has remarkable depth, with sharp reflections and a mirror-like appearance that completely changes how the car looks in natural light.
While a single-stage correction isn't designed to eliminate every deeper scratch, the remaining imperfections are minimal compared to the original condition, and the improvement in overall gloss is outstanding.
The RS5 now has the striking, premium finish that a performance vehicle of this calibre deserves.
