Two-Stage Paint Correction | Toyota Hilux
This 2015 Toyota Hilux Workmate came to us showing the effects of years of hard work and exposure to the elements. Its once-bright white paintwork had become heavily oxidised, leaving a dull, chalky finish with stubborn staining throughout. Dirt and grime had accumulated in every crevice, the headlights were heavily yellowed, exterior trims had faded, and old work signage had left behind adhesive residue across the paintwork. Our Two-Stage Paint Correction, combined with headlight and exterior trim restoration, was exactly what this Hilux needed to bring its appearance back to life.
What We Did
Exterior Deep Cleaning & Decontamination
We began with a thorough pre-wash and detailed exterior clean, removing years of built-up dirt, road grime and contamination from the bodywork, wheels, door jambs and hard-to-reach areas.
Special attention was given to the heavily neglected crevices, panel gaps and exterior trims, where stubborn grime had accumulated over time.
We also carefully removed the remaining adhesive residue from the vehicle's previous work signage, ensuring the paintwork was properly cleaned and prepared for correction.
Two-Stage Paint Correction
With the exterior thoroughly decontaminated, we carried out a two-stage machine paint correction.
The first stage focused on cutting through the heavy oxidation, staining and weathered surface to restore the paintwork's original finish.
The second stage involved refining the paint to improve clarity, smoothness and gloss, transforming the chalky white panels into a deep, clean and reflective finish.
Headlight & Exterior Trim Restoration
The heavily yellowed headlights underwent a dedicated restoration process to remove oxidation and bring back their clear, transparent appearance.
Faded exterior trims were also carefully restored, bringing back their darker finish and creating a clean contrast against the freshly corrected white paintwork.

The Results
The once chalky, heavily oxidised paintwork now has a beautifully deep, glossy white finish, with restored clarity and reflections that had been hidden beneath years of weathering.
The old work signage residue has been completely removed, leaving the panels clean and uniform. The headlights have gone from yellow and cloudy to clear, while the restored exterior trims provide a fresh, sharp contrast against the white bodywork.
Even the smallest exterior details received attention, with years of built-up grime removed from the crevices and hard-to-reach areas.
What was once a tired, weathered workhorse now looks dramatically refreshed, with its original appearance brought back to life.
